FAQ
What beginners ask us before booking lessons or a kitesurf camp on the Dakhla lagoon.
We are on the Dakhla lagoon in southern Morocco, on the N1 road along the bay. Dakhla has its own airport (VIL) with connections from Casablanca, Agadir and Paris, and we can arrange your transfer from the airport.
The lagoon is flat, shallow and about 40 km long, with side-onshore wind blowing more than 300 days a year and water you can stand up in over huge areas. That combination is what makes it both the safest place to learn and a playground for freestyle and speed.
The wind is reliable all year. March to September is the strongest and most consistent window, while October to February is slightly lighter and warmer in the water — a good period for beginners.
No. We teach complete beginners every week with IKO-certified instructors, and we also run supervision sessions for riders who already hold a kitesurf licence and just want safety cover and equipment.
Camp, hotel and apartment packages include your accommodation, your kitesurf hours with a certified instructor and all the equipment. Lessons booked on their own include equipment and instruction but no accommodation.
Group lessons start at €80 for 2 hours, semi-private at €100 and private at €140. Full packages with accommodation start at €420 for 4 days / 3 nights with 10 hours of kitesurfing.
